Love Story:.My Best Friends Wedding!

Let me tell you a story, my best friend Jennifer married her lobster, penguin and as some would say her true love John this past weekend on the SS Sicamous. This venue was stunning, an old paddle wheeler located on the beach of Pentction.
June 9th 2018 will forever be a day I remember.

I was her maid of honour, and could have not ever imagined spending the day with anyone else.. plus her wedding party A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the men decked out to the nines in fine suits and the women in vibrant red dresses. As you all know me I cannot ever put my camera down, ever..it is pretty much super glued to my hand so it was to be expected I snap a few images.

A day full of laughter, tears (very happy tears) and shenanigans we danced the night away on a boat..YES A BOAT. We got jiggy with it. I even caught the bouquet!
Love it on its way!!!!

Let me share some of the moments I managed to capture on this very magical day.
***Stay tuned for the full story by photographer Izzy Dempsey who was an absolute gem capturing the day, her work is pure magic.

I am completely full of love! Xo Ashlee Marissa
Congrats to Jennifer and John, I cannot wait to see you grow together as newlyweds.

I will leave you with another quote to tug on the heart strings:

The moment of impact. The moment of impact proves potential for change. Has ripple effects far beyond what we can predict. Sending some particles crashing together,
making them closer than ever before.

While sending others spinning off into great ventures, landing where you would never think to find them.

That’s the thing about moments like these, you can’t, no matter how hard you try, control how they are going to affect you, you just have to let the colliding parts fall where they may. And wait..
Until the next collision.

Their first born:.

Sarah and Shawn welcomed their first born into the world! I was honoured to photograph their wedding a few summers ago and now I got to meet their little man! These two are over the moon with joy. This is one of my fave sessions to shoot lately – my in home sessions, can’t wait to watch this family grow.

Katlyn and Riley:.

:.Katlyn and Riley’s love story

These two love birds met over 10 years ago! A lot of planning went into this absolutely stunning and perfect day, SOO happy I was able to be apart of this magic!

Katlyn decided to have a first look with her father and I can say there were a few tears shed, a very emotional and sentimental moment! The ceremony was held at the Linden Gardens in Kaleden B.C where you felt like you walked into a fairytale. A short and sweet service – the couple stated their love for each other and first kiss as bride and groom in front of close friends and family. Follwing the sweet ceremony, the bridal party was an absolute hoot, cheers to the “BEST DAY EVER!”

Katlyn and Riley are truly made for each other, and I wish the best for them!
Congrats to the newly weds!
